Dali, Popcorn Nude, 1949. Philippe Halsman’s extended photography series — the JUMP exhibit — which runs through May 28, at the Laurence Miller Gallery, features 50-plus vintage photographs that capture Halsman’s final request at the end of his formal sessions. Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Salvador Dali, Richard Nixon and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor are a few famous subjects who agreed to take a leap of faith before Halsman’s lens.
